I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
